1 Information We Collect
Dream Decoder Pro ("we", "us", "our") collects the following information when you use our app:
- Audio Recordings: Sleep session audio recorded from your microphone during active sleep tracking sessions.
- Sleep Sound Descriptions: Text descriptions generated from your sleep recordings, used for AI analysis.
- Account Information: Name, email address, and profile details you provide during registration.
- Usage Data: App interactions, session frequency, and feature usage to improve our service.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for technical support.
2 How We Use Your Information
Your data is used exclusively to:
- Generate AI-powered dream analysis and subconscious insights from your sleep recordings.
- Store and retrieve your sleep session history within the app.
- Improve the accuracy and quality of our service.
- Send you morning reports and notifications you have opted into.
- Provide customer support and resolve technical issues.
3 Third-Party AI Service
Dream Decoder Pro uses a third-party artificial intelligence service to generate your personalized dream analysis and subconscious insights. We are fully transparent about how this works:
🧠 AI Data Disclosure
What is sent:
Text descriptions of your sleep sounds and recordings — never raw audio files
Who receives it:
Google Gemini AI, a service by Google LLC (google.com/gemini)
Why it's sent:
To generate personalized dream analysis, mood detection, and subconscious insights
Your consent:
You are asked for explicit permission during onboarding before any data is sent to AI services
Opt-out:
You may decline AI analysis at any time in Settings. Recordings will still be saved locally without AI processing
Google Gemini AI is bound by Google's privacy policy and data protection standards. We do not send any personally identifiable information (name, email, account details) to the AI service — only anonymized sleep sound descriptions.
4 Keep Everything On Device
Dream Decoder Pro offers a "Keep Everything On Device" setting. When enabled, your audio recordings are processed and stored locally on your device only and are never uploaded to our servers.
🔒 On-Device Mode: When this setting is active, AI analysis via Google Gemini is also disabled. No data leaves your device under any circumstance. You will still be able to listen to your recordings but will not receive AI-generated insights.
5 Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or audio recordings with third parties, except:
- With your explicit consent.
- Google Gemini AI: Anonymized sleep sound descriptions are sent for AI analysis only when you have granted permission (see Section 3).
- Supabase: Secure cloud storage provider for session data and audio files, under strict data processing agreements.
- When required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
6 Data Retention & Deletion
Free users: sessions are retained for up to 90 days. Pro users: sessions are retained indefinitely until manually deleted.
You may delete any or all of your data at any time from the app settings. Upon account deletion, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.
Your data, your control. Navigate to Settings → Account → Delete Account to permanently remove all your recordings and personal data from our systems.
7 Security
- Industry-standard AES-256 encryption for all data at rest.
- TLS encryption for all data in transit.
- Audio files stored in private, access-controlled storage buckets.
- Regular security audits and responsible disclosure practices.
8 Children's Privacy
Dream Decoder Pro is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately at privacy@dreamdecoderpro.com.
9 Your Rights
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: Request permanent deletion of your data from our systems.
- Portability: Request your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw AI Consent: Withdraw your consent for AI analysis at any time via Settings.

10 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
